Gulf Brown Shrimp

Gulf Brown Shrimp are harvested in the Gulf of Mexico from Alabama to Texas with heaviest production being July through November.  Gulf Browns are a very flavorful shrimp with a firm texture suitable for all types of dishes or as a peel and eat shrimp.   Sometimes referred to as Texas Gulf Shrimp they are an abundant resource with a variety of sizes.  Our Gulf Brown Shrimp have a 100% Premium Freezer boat production.  The shrimp are graded, frozen and inspected at Cox's Wholesale facility in Tampa, Florida.

Nearly 97 percent of the brown shrimp harvested in the United States comes from the Gulf, mainly from Texas and Louisiana.
